November 25, 2012 – Oxley Estate Winery 2011 Rosé and Spicy Homemade Stoup. (a cross between a stew and a soup)

. November 25, 2012

Black Frid-eh Weekend!

Black Friday shopping began during Thanksgiving for our American friends this past weekend and our Canadian retailers have jumped on the traditional kick start! A weekend of shopping, yard work and the finale…the 100th Grey Cup! Congratulations Toronto Argonauts!20121125

Rosé wine typically considered a summer wine paired well with our spicy homemade stoup! Italian sausage, carrot, green pepper, onion, diced tomato, tomato sauce, chicken stock, spices and rotini pasta make this dish not a stew and not a soup…stoup!

Oxley’s 2011 Rosé Wine was a touchdown with this spicy dinner!

Oxley Estate Rosé 2011

Reminiscent of the colours of Provence, the coral hues of this Oxley Rosé deliver beauty to the eye of the beholder. Lemon peel, mimosa and tangerine tingle on the nose. Strawberries and rhubarb ride in the palate – uplifting acidity their chauffer. A check-tickling finish gives this wine its passport to a world of culinary possibilities – from goat cheese salad on the patio to a dinner of wild turkey with blueberry reduction, our Rosé is a perfect match.

Music pairing Spring/Summer – “shake Senora” by Harry Belafonte Autumn/Winter – “The Best is Yet to Come” by Michael Buble.
