Erie Shore Vineyard’s 2010 Chambourcin and 2010 Chardonnay are bang on with Dublin Coddle this St. Patrick’s Day.

Definitely an excellent choice whether you are from the Emerald Isle or not!

Dublin Coddle – Irish Sausage, Bacon, Onion and Potato Hotpot

  • 2 kg potatoes
  • 2 large onions, peeled and sliced thickly
  • 450 g good quality pork sausages
  • 450 g bacon, piece thick cut
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 ham stock cube or 1 beef or 1 chicken stock cube, if ham stock isn’t available
  • 3 -4 tablespoons fresh parsley,
  • chopped salt (to season)
  • coarse-ground pepper (to season)

Fruity, full-bodied, good balance. Excellent with beef, pork, Curry, strong cheeses and dark chocolate.

2010 Chardonnay

Buttery, smooth wine with good balance and a new look. Excellent value at $12.95.

2010 have produced wonderful vintages and this is no exception.

Nicely matched with most main courses including: chicken, beef, game, lamb, pork, vegetables, cream sauces course, most cheeses, pizza, Thai, and Chinese.
