Late Summer Sizzles

Relish wine and late night dinner as summer dwindles away with Aleksander Cabernet Franc.

Enjoyable and effortless with meatball kabobs!

Just skewer these babies and pop the cork!

Perfect at the cottage!


Easy Meatball Kabobs

  • 12 cooked meatballs, your favorite, 1-inch balls
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce 2 skewers


1 Defrost your meatballs.

2 Thread a piece of onion then a meatball, add 1 piece of green pepper, then another meatball, add a red pepper etc until you have 6 meatballs on the skewer ending with a piece of onion.

3 Repeat for your second skewer.

4 Paint both sides of the skewered ball & peppers,.

5 BBQ over medium heat, or Broil 6″ from broiler, or bake 375f until the balls are golden and heated through apprx 15-20 minutes.

With it’s beautiful garnet colour, the 2011 Cabernet Franc opens with the juicy flavours of red berries and sweet cherries. Berry flavours linger in the finish.

Food Pairings: Best served with slow roasted back ribs, grilled veal and lamb chops.
