Treats for Summer Heat!

Sweet conclusions…August is you, dessert, & wine month!

Local pan seared peaches star along with D’Angelo Estate Winery’s Vidal Late Harvest Riesling.

Peaches supplied by Lee and Maria’s Fresh Market.

Pan Seared Peaches and Yogurt

Ingredients

  • 2 peaches, halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 4 teaspoons Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon pistachio

2013 VQA Vidal Late Harvest 

This luscious dessert wine was made with Vidal grapes that were left on the vine until the temperature dipped to -7 degrees C, hand-picked at night and whole-berry pressed.

The resultant juice was cool fermented for eight weeks to preserve the bouquet.

Enjoy with dessert or on its own.
